This collection of ceramic vases and art objects was inspired by draperies, which, when captured in solid materials like stone or ceramic, have always fascinated my imagination. While working on this series, I realized that the vases, when arranged together, form a composition that evokes the sacred moment I felt while contemplating Leonardo da Vinci’s famous fresco The Last Supper.
The vases are named after the apostles depicted in the fresco, in the same order they are positioned. Additionally, I created two wall sculptures, Sun and Book, which also reflect my interpretation of the symbolism in the fresco — light and knowledge.
This series of vases and sculptures is my personal response to The Last Supper by Leonardo, recreating the atmosphere I felt when gazing at the fresco.
